Ratchet Shows We Can’t Wait to Watch (When Are They Finally Dropping?!)

Alright y’all, we need to talk. The ratchet TV streets have been buzzing, but as fans, we’re left with nothing but clips, whispers, and agonizing anticipation for some of our favorite messy-yet-iconic shows to finally grace our screens again. Zeus, Now That’s TV, Starz—y’all playing with our emotions! From Sapphire’s boss moves on The Academy to the heated drama of Bad Boys Vegas, we’ve got the rundown of the shows we can’t wait to see.

Where Is ‘The Academy’ Season 2 Though?

Okay, first off, The Academy on Now That’s TV deserves its flowers. For those not in the know, this gem is hosted by Tierra "Sapphire" Williams, a.k.a. Big Mama Energy herself. Known for her classy yet commanding aura (and the rare ability to stay unbothered in ratchet chaos), Sapphire stole the show on Joseline’s Cabaret before taking her talents to The Academy—a kind of charm school for the wild baddies we all hate (but definitely love) to root for.

But for real, where's Season 2? We’ve seen the clips featuring some South Central Baddies joining the lineup, and fans are FIENDING for this one. Sapphire is out here shining in Now That’s TV’s first full-length movie Joy Ride, but sis, we need you back turning these girls into polished chaos ASAP.

Bad Boys Vegas & Jonathan’s Moment

And speaking of chaos, Bad Boys Vegas on Zeus is already looking like it’s ready to bring the smoke. Headlined by social media’s favorite stylist-slash-heavy-hitter Jonathan Wright, this one promises all the wild antics we expect from the Bad Boys franchise… but this time, with that Vegas flair. From influencer drama to ego battles that could shake the Strip, we’re anticipating more wigs flying (literally and figuratively).

With an ensemble cast of influencers, entrepreneurs, and artists, Zeus stays giving us organized (or maybe disorganized) madness, but when can we catch it? Zeus, we’re tired of waiting!

Philly On The Rise – Get It Poppin!

Alright, Philly stand up! Word is, Philly On The Rise is gearing up to showcase the gritty, raw vibes of the 215. While details are still hush-hush, we’re hoping this show dives into the drama, resilience, and hustle that make Philly so iconic. If this doesn’t come with brotherly love and basement party energy, then what’s the point? We’ve got eyes on this one.

Still Waiting on ‘P-Valley’... and it Hurts

Oh, P-Valley on Starz... we love you but y’all really gon’ make us wait until 2025?! (cues sobbing) How are we supposed to function without the greatness of Uncle Clifford and the girls? It’s been FOREVER since The Pynk blessed our TV screens, and the wait feels like slow torture. We keep hearing whispers, but is it too much to ask for Starz to speed things up?

Still though, ain’t nothing like The Pynk. The storytelling, the characters, the stripper pole choreography that deserves an Olympic category... we’ll stick it out, but trust us—it’s hard out here.

When Ratchet Meets Respectability, We Get Sapphire

We gotta take another moment to shout out Sapphire. Her ability to bring balance to the ratchet TV chaos is unmatched. Sure, the girls might be throwing hands, but Sapphire somehow stays classy while serving life lessons in between all the madness. She’s the piece that’s missing in so many reality shows, and we really need more of this energy across the board.

Her likability and storytelling power have carried her career in a genre known for its messiness. And honestly? That’s the tea. Whether it’s The Academy or Joy Ride, Sapphire truly stands out as a unique force in ratchet television.

Ratchet TV is the Real MVP

While mainstream TV gives us sanitized nonsense, ratchet TV keeps it raw. It’s the unfiltered cultural commentary we crave, mixed with the messy drama we secretly (or not so secretly) love. These shows may be over-the-top, but they reflect a kind of authenticity that other genres don’t dare touch.

Now, if the powers that be could just hit us with those release dates (or at least another teaser), THAT would be the real blessing.

Are You as Pressed as We Are?

One thing’s for sure—when these shows finally drop, we’ll be the first to recap every wild, jaw-dropping moment. Until then, shout out to our fellow ratchet TV fans holding on for dear life. Drop your favorites—who else is waiting on "Bad Boys Vegas" or desperate for the return of Sapphire on The Academy?
