Speakers expected to converge to discuss black gay men's health and wellness.
Palm Springs, CA: - Brothers of the Desert is conducting their third annual wellness summit focusing on black gay men and their allies in the Coachella Valley in which speakers from across the country will gather on a variety of topics ranging from mental health to infectious diseases like Covid-19 and HIV/AIDS.
According to a press release put out by the non-profit organization:
"The one-day event features innovative workshops, interactive discussions, and inspiring keynote presentations on a diverse range of topics, such as spirituality, sexuality, and identity, emotional health, aging considerations, examining race, physical health, social advocacy, and entrepreneurship."
Dr. Leo Moore and Bishop Yvette Flunder will offer keynote remarks and workshop presenters include Activist and mental health advocate, Yolo Akili Robinson, scientist, Dr. Stephaun Elite Wallace, film director, Nathan Hale-Williams, Jared Sampson, actor and teaching artistry Wilson, community activist Wes Rankins, spiritual leader Tony Bradford, and CEO of TruEvolution, Gabriel Maldonado.
The summit will take place in Palm Springs on Saturday, October 13, 2021, at the Margaritaville Resort at 8:30 a.m.
